caute skuskil som sa opat pripojit a mam otazocku: kedy (po akom case, myslim v modeli) sa odosiela prvy vysledok (vola sa to trickle?) dakujem za odpoved :)

Záleží to na druhu modelu který počítáš. Volbu které modely se ti budou stahova, má kažký ve svém profilu, taže by to chtělo upřesnit. Rovněž příděl kreditu za trickel je rozdílný.
Spíše než na čas, bych to ale stejně specifikoval na % zpracovaného modelu.

dakujem za odpoved. pocitam model HADCM3, takze otazka k tomuto modelu - kedy, resp. po kolkych percentach je odoslany ciastkovy vysledok? a to iste aj pre model HADSM3. vopred dik

Tento model moze byt 80 az 160 rocny. To zistis v nazve WU. Po pismenovom oznaceni nasleduje rok zaciatku modelu, napr 1920 a hned potom dlzka modelu v rokoch. Kedze trickle sa rovná jednemu modelovemu roku, 100% podelis rokmi a mas percento na jeden trickle. Pre 160 rocny je to 0,625%, pre 80 rocny 1,25%.

The model trickles (i.e. it contacts the project servers) at regular intervals.

Each model type is different -
The coupled model (HadCM3) does this every 25,920 timesteps = once every model year. The date of the first trickle is 1st Dec 1921 and every year on the same date after that. The trickle contains a summary of the model's climate data (every model decade there is also a ZIP file upload containing more detailed climate data, and also a full restart dump. Uploads will appear in BOINC's transfer tab but trickles are only mentioned in the messages. Some 160 year models only upload 8 of these zip files, and others may not transfer due to network issues. If you wish, you can upload these to the data node).
Every model year is 360 days, and 72 timesteps per day (48 atmosphere, 24 ocean). So 25920 timesteps per trickle. You get about 311 credits per trickle on the 5.4x versions.

The Slab model (HadSM3), which consists of three phases of 15 years, sends a trickle every 7.5 model months. These slab trickles do not contain climate data - the climate data is uploaded at the end of each phase. Note that during the end-of-phase processing, many surplus 'cse' trickles may be generated and uploaded. These should be ignored and will not appear on the website. Each model day consists of 48 timesteps, and a trickle is sent every 10,802 timesteps.

The SAP model (HadAM3), which consists of a single model year in high resolution, sends a trickle every five model days. These trickles do not contain climate data - the climate data is uploaded at the end of the model. Each model day consists of 144 timesteps of ten minutes each, and a trickle is sent every 720 timesteps.

Since trickles are generated on a regular basis, you can work out when the next trickle is due by looking at the %complete figure in the Boinc manager. This will vary by the type and length of the model, for example, a 160-year coupled model has 160 trickles, and therefore they will appear each 0.625% (100/160).

If the trickles are being stored on your PC (for example, if network activity is disabled), they should appear as trickle_up_... files in the boinc\projects\climateprediction.net directory. There are two varieties of trickle, CSE and ORIG. Only ORIG trickles appear on the website, the CSE trickles are sent at other times, sometimes at start-up or when processing resumes on a model after a rewind.

Clicking on the messages tab in the boinc manager will allow you to see a message that your model has contacted the server succesfully.
It should look something like this:

Your trickles will be displayed on your results page but may take between a few hours to a day to appear. After your first coupled model trickle appears on the website you will also be able to access a graph of your results. Go to your account page >results > result ID >graph.

With the Slab model, you need to wait for the end of the phase before the graphs appear. In the SAP model, you need to wait until the model is finished, and the graph may take some considerable time to generate after that.

niekolko poznatkov:
- nevynucujte upload pre .zip subory, pokial nebol odoslany trickle (BM v casti Projekty ma odlozenu komunikaciu), pretoze upload skonci neuspesne, alebo sa vobec nespusti
- upload .zip suborov (13 pre sucasne WU typu HadAM3P-EU, HadAM3P-SAF, HadAM3P-PNW) je rozdeleny nasledovne
